Fans of the Meryl were, naturally, livid. However, Sharon has come out to say that she meant her statement as a compliment.
She told PopEater, “It is not OK with me for someone to take a statement I made with good-natured intent and to try and make it into something politically incorrect. My love and support for what [Streep] represents for women right now is extraordinarily important.”

Uh oh. Will there be bloodshed between best friends Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
Numerous reports indicate the reason behind Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner's recent breakup was due to, gasp!, Selena! The Wizards Of Waverly Place actress has since rekindled her romance with Lautner whom she dated briefly last year.
An insider spilled to Star magazine that there's definitely still spark between the New Moon star and Selena. As for Swift and Lautner, the insider revealed, that “apart from their name, they don’t have much in common.”
Fans of Hannah Montana, get ready for some bad news. The sitcom which made Miley Cyrus a household name is coming to an end. The upcoming fourth season will be its last, Disney officials told New York Post.
"You never know in this business . . . but right now we're scheduled to wrap [forever] after shooting this new batch of episodes," Disney Channel Worldwide's senior VP/programming Adam Bonnett said.
Miley begins shooting the fourth season on 18 January and will end her acting stint as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana some time in summer. FYI, Hannah Montana is one of the most successful kids' show with an average of 5 million viewers per week.
You just knew it was bound to happen. Whenever a famous celebrity does something sordid the backlash usually climaxes with a tell-all-book. As such, Tiger Woods is SO screwed because it has been reported that one of his alleged mistresses is planning to expose the details of the golfer’s sexual exploits with her.

Former Playboy Loredana Jolie will ‘open up’ on Tiger's reported appetite ‘for threesomes and girl-on-girl sex parties’, (this was according to a rep of Loredana in a Page Six report). “She's going to come out swinging. She knows all about how Tiger would arrange women for sex, and would sometimes get two or three women in his room at once,” the rep said to Page Six.
If the book deal comes out Loredana, can score a huge pay out and can give up topless modeling jobs and spend time honing her newly discovered passion for golf. Seriously! Turns out Tiger made quite an impression on the starlet.
I have been a huge fan of Sega’s Aliens from the time the
game came in cartridge form! Which is why, when I read recently that Sega has
released the Aliens vs. Predator Hunter Edition, my saliva ducts went into
drool overdrive. The only bummer is that it’s currently only available in the US.
(But then again, with a credit card and online shopping, nothing is ‘unpurchaseable’
these days. Thank goodness!!)

Those who follow Katy on Twitter would know that the couple have been touring India most of last month as she posted photos of their trip. An insider told Us Weekly that Russell took Katy to India as a Christmas gift to her. "She told him how much she loved Indian culture while they were eating curry in England, so he surprised her," said the insider.
The insider added that the 34-year-old Russell proposed to Katy with a ring five days ago and the singer happily accepted.
