Michael Bay: "See you on the set of our next film then." Megan: "Whatever."
It is official. Director Michael Bay confirms that Megan Fox will not be returning to Transformers 4.
During an interview with E! News, Bay was quick to reply “no” when put to the question of whether fans will get to see the 26-year-old beauty star in the fourth installment of the robots-filled sci-fi movie.
But he explained: “Because it’s a totally different story, it’s with Mark Wahlberg and his daughter.”
However, Bay assures everyone that Transformers 4 is not going to be a complete reboot, and will feature elements from the previous films.
“It's the same (world). You have the three movies, but there's a reason why there's a new cast. And it's explained very clearly when you see it, and it's going to feel natural. So it's not like we're starting over or anything like that,” shared the director.
The story is said to take place “exactly four years after the war in Chicago”, and while Shia LaBeouf will likely not be in the new Transformers film, Josh Duhamel might just be.
Josh told The Hollywood Reporter: “(Michael) said he wants to put me in it someplace. I don't know if he was just saying that because he had me on the phone and he felt obligated or what...”
On a side note, Megan will be working with Bay for his new film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in which she plays the Ninja Turtles’ human friend April O'Neil.
Halle Berry may be pregnant but she’s still busy shooting for X Men: Days Of The Future Past. Halle will reprise her role as the silver haired Storm in the film. Director Bryan Singer tweeted the First Look pic of Storm which sees her sporting a shoter hairdo. Halle’s baby bump is buckled into her action outfit and Halle is ready to fly it seems.
While Robert Downey Jr. is refusing to confirm if he will return for another Iron Man movie, director Shane Black is certain that Robert will reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man for at least one more film before hanging up his suit.
Yes, more of Robert Downey Jr.! More of Iron Man!
At the UK premiere of Iron Man 3 recently, Shane confidently told BANG Showbiz, "I think he'll be back for another one. I'm sure of it." Well, that's because he's good at what he does! Even his co-star Sir Ben Kingsley agrees: "I think what the film examines, thanks to Robert Downey Jr.'s wonderful sense of performance is, you have the iron suit and the man inside it. Which is which? Which is more powerful? Is it the guy inside the suit or is it the suit itself?"
Iron Man 3 will be hitting our screens on 26 April 2013. Are you guys excited for it?
Olga Kurylenko has claimed that she nearly killed Tom Cruise on the set of Oblivion and years before, had come close to causing serious harm to Daniel Craig.
Speaking on Ireland’s The Late Late Show, the French actor confessed that the situation with Daniel in Quantum Of Solace was particularly scary.
She revealed: “I nearly killed him. We were filming a stunt where I was driving and Daniel was meant to jump in the car but I pulled off too quickly and left one of his legs hanging out. It was quite dangerous but at the end of the day he was still alive.”
On almost causing Tom Cruise’s death in Oblivion, Olga said they were filming a motorcycle scene when she almost caused a huge on-set accident.
The killing kind
Her co-star, Tom confirmed: “We were riding over rough terrain in Iceland and I said to her ‘All you have to do is really hold on to me.’ She had to hold on tight as every bump we hit I had to accelerate. But every time we hit a bump, her hands left my sides and she tried to grab the handlebars.”
The star continued “I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life, I was so shocked, I almost killed us and I kept saying to Olga, ‘Listen, we are moving at 50 miles an hour, please, please let go’. So I was driving and we’d hit a little bump and I’d be slapping her hand and I was thinking I hope the camera doesn’t see me slapping her hand.”
Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz has just been signed on to star as the title role in the new movie, Hercules 3D.
Well, this means the 28-year-old hottie will be hitting the gym soon to prepare for the buff character. But director Renny Harlin explains that a fit body is not the only quality Kellan has that makes him suited to the role of Hercules.
He said: “It takes more than a good physique to portray the most legendary, mythological personality in history — and Kellan has exactly that, personality. He's not afraid to explore the strengths and vulnerabilities of the character, and he impressed me with his passion and heart.”
Hercules 3D is set to begin production in May.
Around the same time, there is also another Hercules movie in the works, which stars Dwayne Johnson.
Although the movie is still months away, a very short teaser for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has been released to MTV. It's really a teaser to a teaser to the trailer of a movie. Yep, that sounds confusing.
But what's not confusing is the 10-second clip which sees District 12 tributes Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) being ushered to the stage by Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks).
The full teaser will be released during the MTV Movie Awards, which incidentally will be aired live here on 15 April at 9am on MTV (Astro Ch713).
Anyway, enjoy what little we're getting for now below...
All us ladies who were hoping to see more of Ryan Reynolds in his ‘live little to the imagination’ superhero outfit as the Green Lantern have just had our joy crushed as it was reported that Ryan has ‘little interest’ to reprise his role.
Dreamy in green
Ryan’s main issue with the film is that he feels its concept is harder to grasp. In an interview with Empire magazine Ryan said: “I saw how difficult it is to make that concept palatable and how confused it all can be when you don't really know exactly where you're going with it or you don't really know how to access that world properly. That world comic book fans have been accessing for decades and falling in love with. So at this point I have very little interest in joining that kind of world.”
However there might be a glimmer of hope for Ryan’s fans as the report indicated that Ryan is not completely closing door on the possibility of returning as the Green Lantern. “A great script and a good director can always turn that around.”
Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson is thrilled that her sex scene in the movie Spring Breakers was done beautifully when she finally got to see it.
Sexy spring breaker
Mind you, the scene in question involves Ashley, James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens.
"The first time I saw it was on a very small screen, so I didn't really get to see what it was when I got to see the film in Venice, and that was extremely nerve-racking because it wasn't just me, it was tons of people watching," Ashley told MTV News.
"I thought it was beautiful. I thought it was shot beautifully. We had an amazing [director of photography], Benoit [Debie]. For a sex scene, I think it was just filmed beautifully. It wasn't raunchy. It was telling a story... The film is shot so amazingly, so I think parts like that could be seen as nasty or bad or whatever, it doesn't seem that way because it's just so beautifully done."
Incidentally, Ashley is rumoured to be dating co-star James Franco.
So many names have been thrown into the mix for the lead role of Christian Grey for the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades Of Grey.
Is this Christian Grey?
The latest star to admit having had a meeting about it is none other than Arrow star Stephen Amell. He posted an update on Facebook recently and boy, we're intrigued!
"I get questions about Christian Grey all the time," Stephen says. "That project is a long way off. I know this, because I had a meeting about it. Long way off. I mean, not that long, but not close. I wouldn't call it long, but I wouldn't call it close."
OK, the last bit is confusing but the point is he is in the running for the role as it stands.
Whaddya think -- Stephen Amell, Ian Somerhalder or someone else altogether FTW?
