Channing Tatum Wants To Direct Magic Mike Sequel

There's been talk of making a sequel to Magic Mike but nothing seems to have been nailed down just yet. With the first movie, which was based on Channing Tatum's life as a stripper, making over US$150 million worldwide and just costing US$7 million to make, doing a second movie should be a no-brainer.

So far, Channing is up for it: "We want to flip the script and make it bigger." He told German site Filmstarts that he was interested in taking on the directing job for the movie himself, after the Broadway version is done.

As for what Magic Mike 2 might be about, screenwriter/producer Reid Carolin had this to say: "You know, we are talking a lot about it. We have a story, and it is really ridiculous and fun. It's a road movie sort of thing, where a bunch of strippers get back together. It's more of a broad comedy. I don't know whether it will happen or not."
