Kristen Stewart, who celebrated her 23^rd birthday on 9 April, received a pricey present from her beau Robert Pattinson: a US$ 46,000 (RM140,000) fountain pen. A limited edition white gold Tibaldi Bentley Crewe fountain pen, to be exact, and sources said that there are only 40 of these around the world, so what Kristen has on her hands is a real collector’s item.

Wow, Robert is one generous boyfriend, and sweet too, because the pen is reported to have Kristen’s name engraved on it with the year and the words “From R”. Awww.

While some may think that giving fountain pens to gals (never mind the hefty price) might be a little strange, but an insider close to the couple asserts that it is the perfect gift for the Twilight actress, as she “has always collected pens, and has a variety of stylish ones.”

And of what these rare fountain pens, one of which is now Kristen’s, look like, the source shared: “The pens have a two-tone 18-carat yellow gold nib covered in rhodium and ruthenium… The barrel is identical to Bentley's dashboard used in their earliest car.”

The band, made up of Andy Brown, Ryan Fletcher, Adam Pitts, and Joel Peat, have been gaining popularity with the Malaysian crowd since their singles When She Was Mine, Taking Over Me, and Standing In The Dark started playing on the radios here. They have definitely come a long way from the early days of gigging in various small venues, the first of them was Chapman Square, to which they pay tribute by naming their first studio album after it.

And this evening at Avenue K, KL, they are about to show their fans here how to rock out, Lawson-style.

Andy told Galaxie: “(Tonight) is gonna be a rock show. Obviously this is our first show in Malaysia, but unfortunately it’s gonna be our last one on this little tour of Asia because we’ll be going to Australia next. So we’re going to make sure it’s gonna be a really special one; lots of guitar solos, lots of jumping about, it’s gonna be a party. We’ll try to get in a couple of covers to get people dancing, (and we) hope that it’ll be fun.”

Now that she has conquered the country-pop music scene, Taylor Swift is ready to pursue her other dream: to be a movie star.

According to the US OK! magazine, a source close to the 23-year-old songstress shared: “Taylor has wanted to be a movie star ever since she was a child. She started acting lessons when she was nine and has never forgotten her original dream.”

“As soon as she's finished touring her album Red, she's going to revamp her image adding a little more edge. She wants to move into acting while writing songs that aren't about her latest breakup. She wants to really make a difference and leave an impact on the world that will be remembered,” the person added.

Taylor, who tried out for a role in the musical film Les Misérables, was reportedly devastated that she did not manage to get the part. The insider said the I Knew You Were Trouble hitmaker felt that the movie "would have been the perfect vehicle to showcase both her talents, her voice and acting."
