A new promo video for Charlie St. Cloud has hit the Net and it shows Zac Efron looking hunky and explaining how he dealt with the underwater scenes in the upcoming movie.
Oh, did I mention that he’s shirtless in the video as he is talking on camera? No? My bad. Check out the video below:

Is she or is she not? That’s a question that will beg your mind when you watch Angelina Jolie’s latest action flick, Salt, in which she plays a CIA agent accused of being a Russian spy.
On the run
And while you’re pondering over whether her character Evelyn Salt may or may not be a Russian spy, check out what Ange had to endure to ace the role. She had to be in tip-top shape for her role as a kick-ass agent on the run. So what did the stunning A-lister do to prepare for the demanding part? She ate about five small meals a day and stuck to a diet of 70% carbs and 30% protein -- and actually avoided cardio -- to help “put muscle on without losing weight,” says trainer Simon Crane, who worked with the actress to get in top form for the film.
At the Comic-Con in San Diego, Ange said of Evelyn Salt: “There's a part of her that's not necessarily a good guy, and because of certain things that happened to her, she's a bit damaged. She's not just heroic. She's not even. She's not just brave. There's something a little off about her, and maybe there's something off about me.”
Ange performed her own stunts in Salt and recounted an on-set injury to the audience that left her scarred. She sliced open part of her face just above her nose when tumbling into a doorway with a gun. Ange said she first thought she suffered a concussion because she couldn't hear anything, but later realised she was wearing earplugs.
When I was watching Salt, I could totally picture Tom Cruise in the role that went to Ange (he was offered the role but turned it down and so the role was rewritten for Ange ) but I prefer Ange in the role as she is far more edgier and brutal and less self-concious (read: vain) than Tom.

The sci-fi thriller Inception written and directed by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight, Memento) opens in Malaysia this week. Here are seven interesting facts about Inception:
1) Leonardo DiCaprio portrays Dom Cobb, the 'extractor' who enters people's minds to take information by invading their dreams. During production, Nolan kept the details of the plot secret, only describing it as "set within the architecture of the mind." Cobb was the name of the main character in Nolan's first feature film in 1998, Following.
2) Prior to final casting, James Franco (Milk) was considered for the role of Arthur the Forger, but had scheduling conflicts, so Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer) replaced him. Also, before Ellen Page (Juno, Whip It) took the role of Ariadne the Architect, Evan Rachel Wood, Rachel McAdams and Emily Blunt were possibilities.
3) This week's world premiere at Hollywood's famous Mann's Theatre was streamed online with the actors speaking about the film and a live performance of the score by composer Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Da Vinci Code, The Dark Knight, Sherlock Holmes), guitarist Johnny Marr (The Smiths, Modest Mouse) and an orchestra. It can be viewed at: http://www.ustream.tv/inceptionpremiere.
4) Inception's viral campaign, ‘Mind Crime,' launched its fourth maze game. Players select a starting and ending position on a grid and draw a path to connect the two. When complete, select the "Play" button to start the game and see more maze paths and dead ends converted to city streets to navigate through and bad guys to avoid. http://www.yourmindisthesceneofthecrime.com
5) Yahoo! recently launched an online comic, Inception: The Cobol Job, a 19-page prologue to the film. Written by Jordan Goldberg with art by Long Vo, Joe Ng, and Crystal Reid, it features Cobb, Leonardo’s character, and his team on a job leading up to the film. Download the PDF: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/inception-comic.html.

6) The production locations were Calgary, Canada, Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Tangiers, Morocco, and England where a long hotel corridor was built to rotate a full 360 degrees and create the effect of zero gravity.
7) Nolan stated: "Once you start examining what the dream experience might mean, it invites people to think about their own dreams and what they reveal. It raises interesting questions about how we assess the nature of our own reality." – AFP Relaxnews
Surprisingly, despite his legions of fans and the insane popularity of The Twilight Saga, Robert Pattinson isn’t top vamp! A recent poll conducted By WENN.com to find the hottest Hollywood vampire has revealed that Brad Pitt as bloodsucker Louis de Pointe du Lac in Interview With The Vampire has a bigger bite than Rob’s Edward Cullen! Granted it was by a small margin but the fact is, close or not, Rob came in second!
Fans of the web swinging superhero will be pleased to know that a new actor will be squeezed into the famous red and blue spandex for a rebooted version of the film franchise which previously starred Tobey Maguire. Andrew Garfield, Variety reports, is the next Spider-Man.
Andrew with Lily Cole in The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus
For those of you who have no idea who Andrew is, the actor most recently starred in The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus (but you’ll be forgiven for not noticing him since all the hype on the movie was centered around Heath Ledger). But landing the lead role in Spider-Man, for which Andrew aced the screen test, will certainly make the cutie pie famous.
According to Variety six actors were screen-tested for the part, and it came down to three – Andrew, Jamie Bell and Alden Ehrenreich, before a final decision was made. Of his big ‘win’ Andrew humbly told Variety, “All I've ever aimed for is just to be allowed to express myself. And that people seem to enjoy seeing me do my work is more than I could hope for. I don't take it lightly.”
He has a serious movie, which let’s him show off his acting chops, coming out and he is without a doubt good-looking. But Zac Efron is not convinced he is the new Brad Pitt just yet.
Zac Efron in Charlie St. Cloud
“Until I’ve achieved something... maybe in a couple of years then I deserve to be called that. Until then, I think I’m just Zac,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
Zac’s new movie Charlie St. Cloud – which is about a teenage boy getting over his brother’s death with a summer romance -- is very different from the peppy musicals he has done in the past.
And though he is carrying on a real-life romance with High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, Charlie St. Cloud features Zac’s first intense love scene.
“It was interesting. It wasn’t a typical romantic scene. There were different circumstances... it was in the middle of the forest. So it was pretty weird... I think it turned out great.”
Charlie St Cloud is scheduled to hit cinemas here 30 September. Watch the new Charlie St Cloud trailer below.
Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel, who plays Prince Zuko in The Last Airbender, says he drew inspiration for the martial art craft from film actor Bruce Lee.
Dev Patel as Prince Zuko in The Last Airbender
“As a kid, I would sneak downstairs while my dad’s watching Enter The Dragon really late and I’d watch Bruce Lee and he just exuded this energy,” Dev told CBS News.
“I was like “Wow, he’s just a superstar, he’s just so different and just a breath of fresh air.” And I started doing martial arts because of that.” Yes, you read right, Dev is an amateur martial artist!
As for concerns that The Last Airbender will pale in comparison to the cartoon it was inspired from, Dev assures that it will not be the case.
“I think at heart it’s being run by a fan and M. Night Shyamalan is a fan of the cartoon,” he says. “His kids are the ones that dragged daddy to go and watch the cartoon and he fell in love with it and said, “I want to turn this into a film.””
While waiting for The Last Airbender to open here this 5 August, check out the Zuko and Katara clip below and the trailer here.
